From 1990 – 1995, in the capacity of an Income Tax Partner, Azucar became a respected leader in the Vancouver CPA industry. Feeling the need to expand his horizons and feeling an internal desire to integrate at a deeper level with his clients, offer a greater depth of professional coaching, and following his own heart, Azucar left to start his own firm, Alan J. Lary Inc. Since that time, he has never looked back, and has never stopped courageously breaking down his own personal barriers to achieving greater success. He continued to develop his own skills and expertise, believing that pushing out of your ‘comfort zone’ is the secret to meeting and achieving your dreams.
With a great desire to provide opportunity and growth for his team, and his clients, the vision of a new and courageous type of business structure emerged. With Azucar’s fierce passion, inspiring leadership, and authentic emotional intelligence, his company has emerged from being a successful accounting/tax service to becoming a financial accounting resource, and a professional and personal coaching partner for entrepreneurs, families and businesses.
The Story Behind My Name:
“As an additional initiative of moving outside my comfort zone, I have adopted my nickname as my preferred name; Azucar (A-soo-carr). Azucar, meaning sugar in Spanish, was developed by dear friends, and has become a point of fun, and part of my genuine relationships. I welcome you to use this name, as our client relationship is held in this same high regard.” — Azucar
