Melanie Xie

Melanie is staff accountant at Genesa CPA, she has been with the company since the summer of 2024. Melanie was drawn to the firm’s values of integrity, accountability and authentic connection; she joined the team with a desire to grow, contribute, and make a meaningful impact - one beyond numbers.

With a background in accounting and a passion for helping others, Melanie found in Genesa an environment that challenges her to stretch beyond her comfort zone. What once felt abstract in school now feels deeply purposeful. “It amazes me how much we can do to impact people’s lives and businesses through accounting,” she says.

Melanie’s approach is rooted in authenticity, presence, and personal leadership because she understands what it takes when developing oneself as a leader - the patience, courage, and willingness to grow. She values a space where she feels empowered to take risks, speak up, and evolve.

Outside the office, Melanie is a self-proclaimed foodie who finds joy in exploring new cuisines. Her favorites? Japanese and Mexican but she’s always open to something new on the menu.

A piece of advice that changed her journey, “we only have one life, it’s better we make the most of it”. Melanie’s journey is still unfolding, but her vision is clear: to become a trusted advisor who leads with authenticity, supports her colleagues with heart, and helps clients thrive - one relationship at a time.
